G.O.S.H. Group Details

Self-injurious behavior often is a way for a young person to feel control over their lives. Unfortunately, such "control" can have a disastrous effect on their life. And parents/guardians can feel so hopeless. This can end up burdening the sense of oneness in the marriage. If you feel scared because your child is cutting or has expressed suicidal thoughts or behaviors, you are not alone. You are not to blame. And you can be a source of healing. Your child needs you. G.O.S.H. group will provide emotional support for your marriage and equip you to be there for your child.

why group therapy?

Group therapy is a powerful tool for growth and change. In process groups, 10+ individuals meet face to face to share their struggles and concerns with the facilitation of 1-2 trained group therapists. The power of process groups lies in the unique opportunity to receive multiple perspectives, support, encouragement and feedback from other individuals in a safe and confidential environment.
