hi there!

Whether you find yourself here because you feel stuck, you’re walking through a difficult season, or have a desire to explore your story more in depth (or even for the first time!), I’d love to support you. I believe that it is by design that emotional and spiritual growth occurs with the witness, encouragement, and presence of others in both the proudest and weakest parts of ourselves. I operate from a person-centered approach, committed to hearing and understanding your story from your perspective. You can take a look at areas and topics I’ve worked with and some of my background to consider if I’d be a good fit for you. Please reach out if you have any questions!

“Trying softer isn’t about knowing or doing the right thing; it’s about being gentle with ourselves in the face of pain that is keeping us stuck. Because no matter how hard we try, we can’t hate or shame ourselves into change. Only love can move us toward true growth”

- Aundi Kolber

scheduling

I do all of my own scheduling.  I am available for sessions Thursday evenings between 5:30-8:30pm. I am happy to work with you to find a time if this window does not fit your scheduling needs.
The quickest and easiest way get an appointment with me is to schedule online. You'll be able to see my available slots and grab one for yourself, as well as leave me personal note if you wish. If the online scheduler is giving you trouble, or if you think there is something we need to discuss before you schedule, feel free to text, call or email.  My office is located in the Southern Saddlery Building at 3069 Broad St.

payment

Sessions are $110 and last 50 minutes. I accept cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards and health savings account cards. I do not participate in any insurance networks and as a pre-licensed professional I am not yet able to offer diagnostic receipts for reimbursement.

a little more about me...

My counseling journey began in high school when my life changed for the better through difficult circumstances in which I had to begin thinking about what I was thinking about. It was a life-giving experience through my own counseling to learn that we can examine, question, and challenge our thoughts. This created a  fascination and love for learning about psychology and the development of life stories.
I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Covenant College. I moved to Birmingham after graduating for an amazing and growing season of working in youth ministry for 3.5 years in which I began my master’s degree in counseling through Liberty University. I moved back to Chattanooga in 2023 to complete my degree and live closer to my now-husband, Paul, who daily reminds me of the importance of authenticity. Since moving back, I’ve had the opportunity to work in the mental health field with substance use and eating disorders, gaining more perspective and respect for the complexity, suffering, and hope in the human experience.
